With a master's degree in industrial engineering and management, combined with a passion for business development, strategy, people management, international partnerships, and sales, Jussi brings great expertise and enthusiasm to the Timegate Team. His customer-first mindset is instrumental in fostering strong relationships and driving business growth.

Outside of work, Jussi’s personal life reflects his dynamic and curious nature. Jussi is from a small countryside town in eastern Finland which is reflected in his love for outdoor hobbies. End-user experiences with Timegated® Technology
The use of a Timegate spectrometer in samples such as microcrystalline glass and composite crystals has shown that it can effectively suppress fluorescence, solve the interference of fluorescence on Raman signals, and improve the signal-to-noise ratio. It has high sensitivity and resolution, and can accurately measure the Raman characteristic peaks of target substances in samples such as microcrystalline glass containing multiple crystal phases. In addition, the use of pulsed laser technology avoids the influence of other light and radiation on the measurement, making it convenient and fast to obtain high-resolution three-dimensional Raman images.

The most outstanding advantage of the Timegate spectrometer, compared to traditional Raman and other time-resolved Raman spectrometers currently on the market, is its ability to effectively suppress fluorescence and stray light interference. This enables obtaining high-quality Raman spectra that other Raman spectrometers cannot achieve.
We tested 36 high-fluorescence interference samples from 10 types of materials and achieved satisfactory results. The scanning speed of the spectrometer is comparable to traditional Raman spectrometers, making it suitable for online testing. This is very useful for real-time monitoring of fluorescence-interfered reactions and process development.
Furthermore, due to the effective suppression of fluorescence and thermal radiation, this instrument has great potential applications in high-temperature fields, such as online research on material flame retardancy, processes of biomass pyrolysis, fossil fuel pyrolysis, solid waste pyrolysis, and catalyst research.
